You Don't Have to Own Your Home to Benefit

Renting shouldn't mean missing out on the comfort, health, and cost savings that electrification can bring. Whether you're in a flat, a townhouse, or a standalone rental, there are options available to you right now — and more on the way.

What's Possible Today

Even without your landlord's involvement, there are practical steps many renters can take, from portable appliances to negotiating upgrades as part of your tenancy. We're pulling together guidance on what's available, what's affordable, and what your rights are as a tenant.

Queenstown Electrification Accelerator

The Queenstown Electrification Accelerator has developed a pilot programme for renters and are currently looking to landlords with rental properties who wish to get involved. You can register your interest here.

More Information Coming Soon

We're currently developing this section of the site. In the meantime, if you have questions about electrification options for your rental home, get in touch or come along to one of our Power Up The Hutt public meetings — renters are very welcome and we'd love to hear about your situation.
